I have had to be admitted more than one time. Couldn't ask for better Dr's or Nurses!! Same for my mother they have been WONDERFUL TO BOTH OF US.
What a HUGE disappointment Herrin hospital has become! When I was here 2 years ago the care was excellent now it is nonexistent! I continually wait for my meds and not just a few minutes; 3 times I have had to wait once for 1 hour and 45 minutes once for 55 minutes and just now 55 minutes! I have had to repeatedly call for help from the nursing staff and I did not receive toothbrush, hairbrush or anything to make my stay bearable. Has Herrin hospital gotten so large and money hungry they no longer care about their patients? ... read more
My son received the best care here. The ER physician was kind and gentle with him and explained everything to me in detail. The nurses and admission staff were professional and friendly. The only thing that would have made it better is is I had been served coffee during my wait, but I understand it's a hospital and not a restaurant.
I used to circulate an OR but had never personally had surgery (and hoped to never) and yesterday I had to have a stone extraction and stent placement. I was EXTREMELY nervous and I had nothing but good staff helping me out. From my same day surgery nurse Debbie, my awesome OR Crew Brent my RN Tom my awesome surgical technician and the anesthesia provider Mark who promised me I wouldn't remember it and that the propofol wouldn't hurt which he didn't lie about. Worst service ever be prepared to wait forever even for something as little as blood work uncaring to patients would not recommend
I would just like to thank the R.N.s and the cna for making a bad situation not seem so bad...The Supervisor's were there every shift asking if everything was OK..and when I did need something they had it there within minutes.. Thank you all again from the Shepard family...hope not to see you anytime soon....Michael Shepard
I was transferred to Herrin hospital surgery unit by Marion Hospital because I needed emergency gallbladder surgery. Marion didn't gave a surgeon that could do it. I have received excellent care. The nurses are absolutely amazing!!! I've been here for two days & I Never had to wait on anything I needed. Great communication. Excellent top of the line care!!!
I just had back surgery there, they were very kind and professional
