At separate er visits for a MRSA infection in my hands, not only was I misdiagnosed and shuffled off to orthopedic, I was treated rudely and given less than empathetic, human care. No one should ever have to AMA out of the ER and risk losing a limb because the staff are cold, assuming, biased and unprofessional. No stars, I do not recommend.
RecommendedI had a coloscopy done today and they made sure I was comfortable and walked me through everything thanks Dr McCain and the rest of the same day surgery staff that I had today.

First of all everyone I came across was super friendly & helpful.....except the guy in triage....Scott W Cranick. I've never in my life been talked down to so bad as he talked to me....all because I went to the hospital! He scolded me for going there! I was in PAIN! He acted as if I was making up my pain and wasting his time! I have dealt with pain in my shoulder until I couldn't and was told I shouldn't have went to the hospital! Great people, Great care!!
Tonight I was a patent at Herrin hospital. I believe I received the best care I have ever gotten from an ER STAFF! Most of the time if I have to go to the ER I am treated as a drug seekers. Not here. The nursing staff was amazing. The dr was phenomenal and even had a conversation with me regarding my disease. I felt completely safe and cared for. Girlfriend had a procedure in endoscopy, she was told to be there at 1, didn't get in to start the procedure until nearly 5 pm, she hadn't had anything to eat since midnight, nothing to drink since 8am, it was 330 before anyone even tried to find out for us what was going on, stop overbooking, you work for your patients, not the other way around, and for her to be treated like that shows some serious arrogance
We have been waiting for over two hours for a colonoscopy to be done. Ridiculous
