I lived here for one year. Maintenance workers entered my apartment after I had already moved out to perform repairs, and used my air‑conditioner. This resulted in around $600 of unexpected extra utility charges on my account. Management tried to hold me responsible for the bill. I contacted them repeatedly seeking a resolution, yet they ignored my messages completely and offered no solution. Terrible experience, avoid this place.

Not willing to accommodate on things, threw away some of my stuff that I forgot to move on my first move out despite multiple requests. Light in the studio is very dim.

My wife and I enjoy living here, but there are times when we feel uncomfortable requesting maintenance while we’re inside our apartment. The maintenance staff often comes across as rude or unapproachable. Overall, Henry Gilman Apartments is a good place to live, except for our experience with the maintenance staff.

These people are trying to charge me a 7-hour cleaning fee, even though I made sure to thoroughly clean every part of the apartment and took detailed photos as proof. It’s clear they are exploiting the fact that many college students don’t always have the time or resources to fight unfair charges, hoping we’ll just accept whatever unreasonable fees they impose. I’m beyond outraged and will make sure to warn others—both current residents and anyone considering living here—to be cautious and look for better housing options.
