first time here for an out patient test. the process to get checked in at your imaging department is antiquated at best. you need to invest in staff. pay them properly so they aren't grouchy and bring this hospital into the 2020s. I'll only be going here again if forced.

Unfortunately, me and my mother drove 30 minutes to HFHS West Bloomfield just to have an unsatisfactory experience from persons in the Orthopedic department. An experience that has left a bitter taste in our mouths with the entire system and we will now drive 30 minutes in the other direction to the U of M hospital. Horrible all around avoid by all means
Someone who claims to work at your Hospital thinks racism is okay and funny. I find that very disturbing and warn anyone who decides to get medical help here. If you’re someone of color, who knows what she’ll do. Someone who is racist shouldn’t be working with the public, especially medically.
One of the nurses that served me in November 2019 was rude and racist. She stopped when I told her I was also a nurse. It's sad that I have to mention that to receive proper care. Every person will answer to God for what they did in this life.

Apparently part of their charge nurse's protocol in managing patient care is to accuse men of spousal abuse when calling to check on their spouse, and not evaluate whether that is pertinent or appropriate. Not, identify the caller or verify who they are...just repeatedly hang up on them (this happened to me), refuse to connect them to my wife's caregiver, accused multiple times of being a wife batterer who should not be permitted to speak to his wife. Providence used to be a good hospital. Besides the subpar care, an all electronic system was put in place for everything. I have an elderly parent who is 91 and does not use or know how to operate a computer or cell phone. It’s tragic that Providence offers no assistance to its elderly patience. I watched today an older women take 30 minutes to check in on her phone because she couldn’t capture her ID and insurance cards using the camera on the phone.
