I’ve been dining here for over 20 years and I’ve always loved the food. I went last night with a friend, sat at the bar and had the mussels, tuna entree, cheese board app, and the scallop entree. The food had a spicy, Mexican/Spanish influence, and I didn’t care for it. The texture of the tuna was not the same either. Our bartender was amazing and helpful. We went last night (2 couples) and we sat in Joseph's section. All of our food was AMAZING, and Joe did an outstanding job as our server. He was always taking note of our drinks and making sure we never had to ask for another, and anything that we requested, he took care of. I can't say enough good things about him. The same goes for the restaurant and food!! We'll definitely go back, and I won't hesitate to ask for Joe again!

Great atmosphere. The food is very good. I travel the country in search of the best lobster bisque, and Hemenway's does make a good lobster bisque. If I am ever in the area again, I will be sure to come back.

AAA rating! Atmosphere - Ambiance - Attitude!! Just enjoyed a three-hour meal at a perfect table overlooking the river with the evening sun slanting in through the floor to ceiling windows. The outstanding food was only outdone by the service.
