In early June, I had an initial meeting and examination with a psychotherapist (Open Access meeting). I was in very poor condition and cried for almost the entire hour of the appointment. This facility is a glaring example of how our mental health system is failing. It’s not care, it’s a business, and a shameful one at that. If you have the means, seek treatment outside Central New York where rehabilitation is taken seriously. Nothing about this place reflects good healthcare, only profit. And for those who work here and still feel proud of what they do, it’s time to take a long, honest look in the mirror.
