Dr. Heilbroner saw my high school daughter for migraines. I felt that he took a good history and talked to her about the issues she is having. Migraines can be debilitating so he put her on some medication to try and see if it helps! I felt confident in this appointment!
We have been seeing Dr. Heilbroner since last November. It’s always a pleasant experience. My daughter likes him and while he isn’t overly warm and fuzzy, he’s an expert on ADHD and knows his stuff inside and out. I know she is in good hands.
Very honest professional and cares about the well being of his patients.
Definitely not the place to go if you have serious concerns about your child. There seemed to be no rhyme or reason to what he asked or did and it was more just whatever popped into his head. And he actually referred to Legos and blocks as “boy things” so he lost all credibility with me from that moment on. If I continue to have concerns about my child, I would rather wait a year for an appointment with someone else.
My child's teacher recommended that we evaluate her for ADHD. He doesn't listen and makes you feel like you are stupid for just going to visit him. Kept saying "so what is it that do you want me to do?" He didn't even take a look at the teacher evaluations for my child and said he didn't believe in evaluations. He also made my 7-year daughter cry.
He was the first doctor I went to after first being diagnosed with epilepsy (11 years old at the time now 19), not knowing what’s going on with me, it is completely justifiable to cry, however he simply told me to “stop crying and act like an adult because this is a doctor’s appointment” obviously we only stayed long enough until we found another doctor, but he never made me feel like a patient more like a number, it’s very clear he’s in this practice for the money and not for the cause. Shocking that this individual specializes in pediatric neurology as he is not suited to treat children. Shows poor judgment and is unable to converse with respect or sensitivity with patients or parents. Highly recommend that you avoid him at all costs.

What a horrible human being and not a good doctor. Just terrible manners. Doctor and his office only care what’s is comfortable for them and don’t care about patients.
