I had heard Dr. Pombo was pretty good. However, this was my own experience and evaluation. Dr. Pombo never truly appeared to want to do surgery on me right away, period. He failed to recognize signs and symptoms of the inflammation of my gall bladder, insisting my complaints were related to my kidney stone. He made a diagnosis that was incorrect. Then, He kept putting off performing gallbladder surgery on me. After promising he would get it done, and receiving clearance from my Urologist, he handed it off to one of his assoc... read more

Dr. Pombo and the entire staff at Memorial Physician Group are beyond amazing. He combined his expertise and a willingness to listen and discuss my health concern. Upon coming to the visit, he already reviewed the reasons for my coming in and my file. I never felt rushed, and he always asks if I have any other questions or concerns. In addition, he's also an excellent surgeon that made me feel very comfortable before and after surgery.
Dr. Pombo is an amazing surgeon, very professional yet very personable, explains everything clearly and an excellent listener. Dr Pombo did Colon and Hernia surgery on me and made me feel like family. He has an excellent bedside manner, very knowledgeable and takes pride in his work.
