SCAM ARTISTS IN EVERY WAY! THIS IS THE WORST REAL ESTATE COMPANY! My friend and I met with them to look at an apartment and they lied to us. They charged us a $400 deposit to pocket money!Then they told us the apartment was rented and the money was not refundable!!! I worked with James Mercure. He's basically a professional scam artist. He listed an apartment as 15th st and 2nd avenue, when really he was just walking us over to Stuyvesant Town. I had seen Stuy Town already, and we had another viewing scheduled so we left. James preceded to berate us over text message and threatened us that if we rented behind his back he would send us an invoice for the brokers fee. APPALLING – WHAT A SCAM! We worked with Steven Owusu, who showed us an apartment Thursday night at 6PM. We had all of our documents ready and presented them to him back at their office. We told him we didn't want to let the apt. slip away, so to please submit our application immediately and let us know when it was submitted. Good...no Great – from the moment we walked in no BS, we got all the details from paperwork we will need to the harsh reality that no broker decides if you get the apartment or you dont, its up to the landlord and managing agent. so we came prepared after we saw the hecht group video (was mailed to us as a link on youtube) we applyed and got the best apartment we could find. Because of job reasons my wife and I moved from out of state with a very tight budget and absolutely no knowledge of the city or its Real Estate market. Our agent was extremely patient with all our questions and was able to find us the perfect apartment that exceeded our expectations! I highly recomend the Hecht Group!!

disappointed – Although they say "NO FEE", they charge you this weird "Management fee". Call you frequently until you decide to take one of the apartment, but no response after you decided. Friendly agent, but almost useless.
