Love Vara! This place is amazing This place is amazing very cool hidden little Gem!. The only place I've been to where the massage therapist really seems to care about whether they're effective. They definitely do not phone it in here. I'm not going to disclose my favorite therapist, but she was so dismayed as to how tense I was last time I walked in, I wanted to hug her. Hands down!! The bf took me here for Valentine's Day last year. $40 for an hour massage...really doesn't get better than that, unless you fly to somewhere in Asia! I have been going here for years.....simple decor...(don't expect a spa quality) but Mhon or Jo has been my masseuse for years....They are amazing...combo is both thai (stretching and deep tissue) and swedish.... warning they do walk on your back...but she knows what she's doing! I'd recommend Mhon or Jo if you want to get the best sleep ever.

The best massage in LA I have to tell you, I have been to dozens of places in Los Angeles for massages and Vara Thai Spa is by far my favorite place. For $ 40 you get an hour massage....and seriously it's worth 2 times that. This is not a flaky spa massage. This is the real deal. This place rocks! This place rocks! I would go every day if I could. The person I always go to is so great. I would tell who this person is, but I need her/him available for me at all times. They are super nice, the place is quiet and relaxing, and the price is RIGHT!
I would definitely recommend Vara spa This place was so unexpected and such a wonderful surprise...I got a massage on Saturday. I was in heaven for two hours. and still feel amazing!!!!! I left feeling totally restored and relaxed. I'm very comfortable with nudity in most settings but the staff here are totally professional and whatever your comfort level, they adjust to you. I would definitely recommend I will definetly go back:)
Amazing massage!! I highly recommend it. :) I'm really not sure how my therapist was able to exert as much pressure as she did. I feel like she had to have been doing like handstands on my back to push that hard with her elbows. And yes, it hurt...but in a "hurts so good" way. As others have mentioned, this is a Thai massage, so be prepared to be stepped on and be stretched in weird positions.
