I'm pretty picky when it comes to health care. I have had a lot of bad experiences with physician's offices over the years, from overbilling to being rescheduled, to having my concerns ignored and misdiagnosed to being treated like cattle. I haven't experienced any of these in Dr. Akin's office. I have been appropriately interviewed, diagnosed and treated. I originally saw Dr. Heather Akins in 2015, after I started really struggling with severe fatigue, and other issues. I was desperate for help, and just KNEW something was wrong with my body. Dr. Akins basically told me what I was experiencing was normal for mothers, and I needed to sleep and relax more. She prescribed a heavy duty anti depressant to use as a sleep aid and sent me on my way. Well, that didn’t fix my issues.
