About two weeks ago I gave my insurance info to Hearts for Hearing 4 days before my appointment. On the day of my appointment, I assume that they take my insurance because I never heard from them. The audiologist named Edie, did a hearing test. After the test we talked about hearing aids and cochlear implants. I ask if my insurance would cover and CI and she said, "they probable would more than they would a hearing aid.” I asked what she meant by that and proceeded to tell me that they aren't contracted with Skai BCBS. These days it seems like most medical facilities have lost the humanity touch in regards to patient interactions. I fully understand it is about time vs revenue in an expensive medical environment. I recently had a visit to the Tulsa Hearts for Hearing facility. I left that office feeling like i was treated with great attention, highly knowledgeable and thouthful processing for a complete thorough exam.
