Founded in 1975, The Hearthstone first gained fame as one of West Michigan's first and only gourmet sandwich, entree salad and made from scratch soup formats. Over the years it has evolved into a destination for innovative and contemporary entrees. I lived in Muskegon for 51 yrs and finally ate at the hearthstone for the first time ,wow how disappointing!!!! Cold food ,no flavor ,called and talk to manager and demanded my money back she spun me and told me should would have to get it okayed with her boss and she would call me back today ! Of course no call from no one I can honestly say I have had better food at fast food joints,I will never recommend this place to anyone I know and this is why locally owed businesses are almost no existing now a days.SAD!!!!!

I have a wheat and dairy allergy so it’s already hard for me to eat out. We dined in once before and everyone was very accommodating to my allergies. My wife called in an order for take out and ordered the exact same meal I ate the time before. The lady taking the order was very unprofessional sounded agitated then after saying good bye but before she hung up the phone so my wife could hear “WOW! That lady was a lot!”. Needless to say my called back and canceled the order.
We love spending dinners with friends and family at the Hearthstone. Always good eats and fun times!!
The service, and the atmosphere are terrific! The food is good. The chef needs to learn how to cook Brussels sprouts do that they can be eaten and not just looked at. We ordered 4 plates from the German fest menu. Not one plate with the Brussels sprouts was edible. We informed. Our waiter Carson.
The food was amazing. We all had different meals- filet, short rib, and whitefish and they were all so good. The waiter, Damien, was on point.
