horrible service, totally unprofessional – Started the process of cremating a loved one on April 30th, waited over a week and called for a status update. They blamed the hospital for not submitting the needed paperwork. Called a director with the hospital and explained the situtaion, was assured that the paperwork had been provided. As of today, we are on day 14 with no indication of when this will be completed.

Many thanks to Christina and Joe!!!! (Truly professional) – Christina and Joe from the Heart of Texas was very courteous and understood my needs. They helped me and really took the time to listen to me and walk me thru the process. They also helped me understand the grieving process, this made such a difference. I found them on line called them, met with them once and the cremation process was more comfortable and compassionate than i had every anticipated. I would totally recommend the Heart of Texas.

Shame on Them – First, I really don't like when businesses leave their own reviews. These two most recent posts are obviously left by the business, which makes you wonder what they are hiding. After reading one of the reviews, I looked up their other location and wouldn't you know 'JerryJones' also left the same review for that business. Shame on these folks. Dad would have been proud – My dad always said when his time came that he wanted to be cremated and that was it. From the first time I called and asked questions to when they arrived at my dad's home. I knew my dad would have been proud that we honored his wishes. I had called around and found prices ranging from $3000 to $1500 for the same service we got from Heart of Texas for less than $850. They even had a flag folded for my dad since he was a veteran. Difficult to work with during a very difficult time – Every step of this process has been difficult with Heart of Texas. I was so relieved to finally pick up my father's remains and to be done dealing with them. They did not set realistic expectations regarding the amount of time cremation/death certificate, etc would take. It took almost three weeks. VERY PLEASED – I came online to write a review and was floored by what I read. My family had a very unexpected death. The staff lets you know from the beginning that they help out over 80 families a month and the process does take up to two weeks. If your under time constraint, then maybe another funeral home would work best for you. They only want the best for everyone. Unfortunately, not all of us can pay thousands of dollars for services. Good People – I am not one to post reviews. I found myself in the dreadful position to have to arrange for a cremation. Heart of Texas was recommended to me by people who had used them before. I was more than satisfied, they are good people doing a wonderful thing for our city. Those of you who have posted negative reviews, have you priced cremation in Austin lately.
