Years ago I used to see a doctor at Health Point who was excellent but he retired. I found another great doctor- who was not with HP- now he has retired and I have been unable to find another taking patients so went to see a Nurse Practitioner at HP who I have seen twice. Just awful! Though she seemed unhelpful at best, when I begged she said that she would put in for an x-ray for my very painful knee. Dr. Merunka Mordasiewicz failed my late mother in an irreparable and heartbreaking way. In 2017, my mom began experiencing serious breathing issues, and a visible nodule was noted in her right lung. Dr. Mordasiewicz said she submitted a referral to a respiratory specialist, Dr. John Reid in Victoria. For the next two years, my mom followed up with her repeatedly, asking for updates. I am 74 and my experience with the office staff and an RN at Health Point Centre is the most horrific experience that I have ever endured in my lifetime. As a patient there for the past five years, the constant turnover of doctors has been hard on my health -- I have been through four doctors and about six nurse practitioners. If I could give this medical practice a zero, I would. I recently moved my two elderly relatives from Victoria to Ontario. Because the male nurse practitioner did not pick up on my relative's symptoms, (that's when they could actually see this person) my relative is now undergoing emergency surgery for an exceedingly serious condition. This is not so much a review of Health Point Care Centre but rather more of a question. I have been a patient here for a few years now since before COVID. There seems to be a very high turnover rate amongst the physicians/nurse practitioners lately. I have been through several. This is rather concerning esp. vis continuity of care. Does anyone know why HPCC does not seem to be able to retain physicians?
