The ER experience at Health First Viera hospital Monday April 21, 2025, was the worst I’ve ever seen. They were so rude & callous. I wasted no time making a formal complaint. Failure on every level. Don’t go there. I was under the impression that a doctor would want to, i dunno, maybe look at an X-ray before trying to yank on a broken dislocated finger and reset it without anesthesia? They saved my life yesterday.
I’m not sure if it’s the health care system or this hospital. I was in excruciating pain my back was having issues and the muscles were spasming. I’m 33 good health active. I’m not a big medicine guy and try and stay out of the doctors office. With that said if I go to the er it’s because something is up I couldn’t get out of bed with the pain. Came in with bilary obstruction, piss poor radiology report piss poor patient care lack of pain management and under educated or just blatant lack of compassion staff , nurses were somewhat decent, NPS deplorable . Staff needs to educate themselves on mast cell disease and mastocytosis among many other things I would go see the vet first what a horrible experience. Health first is the bane of healthcare in Brevard county do better.
We had an ER visit tonight and it was packed. The team streamlined the entire process and we felt well taken care of. With so many people in pain and discomfort, we found friendly, knowledgeable staff who took the time to work with us and really did an amazing job. I am so grateful we have such a reliable hospital that is able to adjust and take care of patients so well. But… I hope I never go back. 🥰
