I went to Holmes for Neurological surgery and. My surgeon was excellent; so was the food! The only problem was that they lost an engagement ring that I was wearing when I went in!!! They took it off for a scan, and i never saw it again. I have talked to several administrators, its been almost 3 weeks and they have not made any attempts to reimburse me. This ring had great sentimental meaning for me. Im geatly disappointed a hospital of this size isn't more concerned and efficient. EG

6/27/2026-I only went here again cuz I didn't want to have my friend take me all the way to the VA in lake nona. I discharged myself from here for the second time and took an Uber to lake nona. Best decision I've ever made. If you're a vet, don't ever let this place treat you. You deserve exceptional medical care and respect. They don't have "some" good ppl here so 2.7 stars is valid. I’m extremely disappointed with the emergency staff at this hospital. On June 20th, my mother was stung by a stingray on her right foot while we were fishing. The barb went through the side of her right foot and big toe. She was bleeding profusely. We went to Holmes Hospital because it was the nearest hospital. The nurses on staff were very dismissive, lacked empathy, and really didn’t care about my mother’s situation. Our mother/mother-in-law spent the last week in Holmes regional. The nurses have been so kind and patient, even when she was experiencing sundowners symptoms at night. The doctors took time, over 30 minutes in one sitting, to explain her condition to the family. We are grateful for each of them and their love for people.

The people at Holmes Reginal are wonderful. I used the bathroom across from exam room 50 in the emergency room. The bathroom was dirty and smelled like urine. I could see and smell the urine on the bottom on the toilet. I washed my hands and both the paper holders to dry them were empty. This is most upsetting that not one employee would report the smell or send a person responsibility to clean it up. This was about 10:30 am. Unacceptable for a hospital.
