I have been going to Health First Dermatologist in the Viera office for over 20 years .. unfortunately recently I have had to make a difficult decision on my healthcare with them and have decided not to go forward with their new provider taking the place of my current one ( whom has left Health first ) Lately , some minor issues of cancellation’s by their mistake A few issues with trying to get in to have a spot check done …both my schedule and theirs ..then the next situation started mid April when I was notified in the off... read more

Wanted to make first time appointment with Dr Vanessa Johnson both numbers I was directed to 5606 & 5607 rang approx 9 times then a message mailbox is full. Not a chance in hell I wld start with an office like this. They’re GYN office in Viera is very similar. Avoid Health First it’s a zoo.

While Dr. Johnson is fantastic, the scheduling and billing departments leave much to be desired. My son is being treated for the same issue and the bill each month has increased to now 3 times the initial amount with insurance. It takes months to be seen and it seems they've switched to online billing that doesn't provide adequate descriptions of what is covered. Tried to call to get help and it just goes to voice mail. If I could give ZERO stars I would! my husband made an appointment for me with Bonnie Fox, I waited MONTHS for this appointment, when the email came in March 6 to check in online I did! The next day or two later I got a text saying she was not taking new patients!! I finally go through a week later and asked how could they do this? I was already booked months before! It’s been a steady decline for patient care at Health First Dermatology. The providers I have seen are excellent, but suffering through the office mismanagement is excruciating. Packed waiting rooms, delays of up to an hour on scheduled appointment times, weeks to get an appointment for a spot check, front desk staff who are visibly overwhelmed and poorly trained on the computer system.
