Dr. Bedinghaus refused to see me because I am on disability. I am on disability because I cannot work due to health problems. I am forced to be on Medicare by law. I have the funds to pay for the treatment, but the doctor refuses me because of the Medicare. I also have Aetna, which I pay for. What kind of world do we live in when doctors turn away people in need of help for ridiculous reasons, out of the patient's control? This is a first for me and for this kind of treatment. I've been working with Dr. Bedinghaus for over 6 years and her care is nothing short of exemplary. The functional medicine approach requires the patient to be involved, and all in, to find answers. She helped me put in the work to find what might be triggering my immune system, resolving many of my issues that other doctors just prescribed a pill for. She and her team are truly caring and empathetic individuals.

Sadly, I have nothing positive to say about my experience with Dr. Bedinghaus. She seems very uncomfortable with people and was not a good coach or a good health practitioner for me. She did a one hour interview then prescribed an elimination diet, which I did as well as some other less traditional treatments. While the diet helped me understand a bit about some of the food I should avoid, she charged me thousands of dollars to do this (for myself) for "tests" and had zero follow up or support for my health journey. I am a Family Nurse Practitioner student and have had the opportunity to work alongside Dr. Bedinghaus for the last several weeks. Her wisdom, dedication, intuition, and meticulous history taking is inspiring. I have never met a doctor who is more thorough and inclusive. She really allocates sufficient time to get down the root cause of the problem with each patient.
