I went there with a leg infection. The nurse at the desk took 5 seconds to see it was cellulitis. Had they just prescribed antibiotics I could have been out of there in 10 mins. But the ER turned it into a 2 hour ordeal then charging me $14,000 to give me a RX for antibiotics. The worst hospital ever!
They failed to inform my relative of moon act. Where is patient advocate explaining how long she could be treated without financial consequence? They kept one hour longer (49) knowing that insurance would only pay for 48 hours. Bill is $45,000. Her family is ruined , if they don't lower amt owed . Her husband can't work, fighting CIDP for 18 years. She is facing financial ruin . She can make payments if amount was reasonable ! ...... $45,000 for 49 hours! IMMORAL !
This is by far the worst hospital I have ever been forced to see a loved one in. My boyfriend was left their for 3 days NPO and the doctor did not even see him until late during day number two. He left on day 3 and he was able to leave without a script for antibiotics. Now it’s been two days that he hasn’t had his antibiotics because this hospital keeps dropping the ball. DO NOT GO HERE. I cannot stress that enough!!!!
My experience was the things nightmares are made of and I would have not believed even possible in today’s medical environment. I was on vacation tripped after watching a beautiful sunset on the beach and taken by ambulance to this facility. I had multiple fractures of my lower leg including a long spiral fracture of my fibula and a complete fracture of my tibia. See picture below. This hospital is not committed to quality health care. They are understaffed and not providing the standard of care patients and families expect. Go elsewhere.
I wanted to thank Palms for such quick action on keeping me Alive when I came in with anaphylaxis. Thank you from the Er to ICU to MICU to RT! You saved me and I don't think there's enough thank yous in the world!
