Pulmonologist was #1. Nurses are the best. Food was good. Respiratory doctors needs improvement. Respiratory supervisor Jamie was the most professional person I’ve ever met in my entire stay. Room cleaned every day was nice. Water could’ve been 2 times a day I only got fresh water once a day. First thing that I noticed that it seemed like everyone was overworked and rushing. In this hospital, there are no beds available for patients; women are giving birth but have no room assigned to them. My godson was born very early this morning, and his mother still hasn't been assigned a room—there is simply no availability. It truly has to be seen to be believed. Nothing here is free, yet look at the state of things. We need to do something significant to support these mothers. Please—do not go to this hospital; go somewhere else instead.
As a nursing student I was appalled by my recent experience. I arrived at the ED with my immunocompromised father who was having heart palpitations. Upon entering the lobby we were met by two employees arguing at the front desk while a couple others avoided eye contact with us. We stood there for a few minutes before being acknowledged. After a while someone had me walk my dizzy dad to the treatment area. He was placed in a bed in the hallway where nurses and techs wore gloves outside patient areas.
