I used to go every Friday night, my weekend ritual. Went to kc on vacation, and of course had to go to hayes. The only problem was with the waitress and her apparent boyfriend, i had to ask him twice to move so I could see the menu. At that time he wasn't eating and there plenty of open seats. Don't know if I'll be back.
I've been coming here with my family for years. Always good and the staff are friendly.

Great place for burgers/chili burgers.
Hayes has the most fabulous burger & tots. You can eat small or big. Love the cool diner atmosphere & seeing the cook make my food.
