I've been eating at Hayes since the late 1950's. For me it is comfort food. Yes, the prices have escalated, but that is a sign of the times. It saddens me to read the negative critics. I know that it is difficult to find good help these days but I do know that the regular employees those who have been a part of Hayes for many years are friendly and respectful. Don't write them off till you try thrm.
My Dad took me as a young boy and been going ever since! Only problem is I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico now......oh well is only 792 miles, 12 hours 8 minutes and well worth the drive! Will be getting there Wed or Thur in the middle of the night! Always, ALWAYS my 1st stop when I get to KC, see you shortly! I CAN HARDLY WAIT!!!!
