Said I had a hernia when I actually had a twisted colon. Seems a bit too keen to operate to me….
I recommend if you need a rectal surgeon Dr. Al-Azzawi would be the best. I searched a couple of providers, but none fit for the care of my son. Dr. Al-Azzawi, made sure my son had every test and more to make sure before suggesting the surgery. My son has also had the pleasure to be seen by the Nurse Practitioner's, who I also recommend should Dr. Al-Azzawi not be in.
Not good. Misdiagnosed issue: he missed the main problem and only mentioned it as a concern after 2 procedures (full anesthesia for both) that didn't correct the problem. Old/improper equipment and short staffed at Jupiter office. Procedure at Tenet/Palm Beach Gardens Hospital ASC was a nightmare; rude and inexperienced nursing staff. I ended up at Cleveland Clinic where they fixed it right the first time.

I had a extremely complicated case starting in early December with C-Diff in the middle. My operation was able to be done till April 1st this is not a “ joke “. The Dr has done over a thousand robotic colon procedures. He removed 6 inches of my colon in a 5 plus hour operation that the robot room was scheduled for 3 hours, worst he said he had seen in over 5 years. I was fortunate to have Dr. Al-Azzawi who performed Emergency life saving surgery last Feb. 2020 at Good Samaritan Hospital, WPB Fla. He is highly skilled, caring and compassionate. His care and exuberant smile significantly contributed to my well being in a relatively short period of time.I would certainly recommend him.
I met with Dr Al-Azzawi and while his bedside manner left something to be desired and he seemed oddly distracted by little things, I planned on scheduling a surgery. I brought a hard copy of my chart with test results from my gastro and he insisted on seeing tests from my previous doctors.
