Hawg Wild offers a smoked boston butt (vinegar and sweet sauce) and beef brisket that are chopped along with smoked chicken and Saint Louis Ribs. The standards of slaw, fries, baked beans and hushpuppies come along on the side. We also offer burgers, hot dogs, salads, trout, grilled chicken and many other sides to appeal to all tastes in a comfortable down home environment. Ribs were so tough I couldn't cut them with a steak knife, beans tasted like they were just pork and beans with catsup. My husband's barbecue was very fair until you put one of the homemade sauces on it and then it was gross. I honestly think Sonny's is better and they are nothing to brag about either. Service was atrocious. Our waitress took 10 minutes to get to us. Good evening Jennifer. I am sorry that you felt that you had such a poor experience at our restaurant. Tough ribs are not the norm for us as you can tell from the many positive reviews. I wish that you would have allowed me to get you a replacement or subsitution when I came by and spoke with you about the issue. It is never my preference to simply take food off of a bill. We will continue strive to make everyone's experience excellent and hope that you will try us again.
Fantastic food and service. It's our go to place when we go riding thru Brevard.

i have lived in pisgah forest all my life and everytime we go visit for some odd reason we go to there to eat i myself doesnt like the food there and now after friday nite going there with my family they have seen how poor t he business is and not count the food was cold when we got it an hour later my dad had to go tell the waiter that we havent gotten our food yet and she went back and got it there were six familys that came in after we did got there food and left before we got ours guys i hate to say it but it SUCKS Breva... read more

I love this place. Good food, reasonably priced, Good Service. Eat here every time I'm in the area. And I always let my son and daughter-in-law know I was here. Just to taunt them. :)
Love, this place. Always get the beef brisket when I'm out this way. Wish you had a location closer to Asheville.
BBQ & ribs were very good. Pleasant server and fun decorations.
