RecommendedWe were lucky to see the lunar eclipse on Mauna Kea. From start to end the experience was amazing. Highly recommend this organization for tours. Guide was so knowledgeable and helpful.
I toured the Hidden Craters Hike with Taj and it was incredible!! Taj was very knowledgeable and had great info about the island. It was my first time experiencing Hualalai up close and personal. If you're into the outdoors this tour is for you. The hiking portion is very paced with stops along the way to capture the beauty. You get to climb through a couple amazing lava tubes and see a few craters. To top it all off we got to have a private tour of Ola Brew, one of the newest breweries on island, and have samples. We have been on three of the tours on the Abigail Island offered by Hawaii Forest and Trail. Each tour was amazing - our guides were extremely knowledgeable and conservation conscious, giving us an education in the history and geology of the island. Thank you Matt, Justin and Melanie!!!!! We absolutely recommend this tour company!
Third trip with HF&T. Gary worked extra hard to make sure we saw our target bird, Akiapola’au and more. We even ran into Jack Jeffrey out in Hakalau Forest NWR Pua Akala Track and got some inside tips.

Friendly, professional service with Justin on our Friday morning sunrise trip on Mauna Kea. Loved the Hawaiian history and lore while we made our way up to a beautiful sunrise on the summit. Highly recommended!
