I recently moved to the Big Island from metro Chicago and came to the Hawaii Family Dental Center for the first time to get a general checkup and cleaning. It seems a lot of places on the Big Island do not embrace technology too well. But to the contrary this Center was totally state of the art from digital pictures that do not expose me or staff to radiation to the use of ultrasonic teeth cleaning. Everyone who works at the Hilo office are very professional and have never let me down...they go out of their way to help me and make my dental experience a good one.
I'm very happy with Dr. Oakley at Hawaii Family Dental Centers Waiakea Villas. I feel confident in his hands and enjoy his upbeat energy. The fillings I needed have been efficient and pain-free. I appreciate the digital X-rays which are very low in radiation. Collette gave an excellent cleaning. Everyone in the office is friendly and polite. I would gladly recommend.

Not only are the employees and DDS very friendly and forthcoming with good information, Dr. took care of my long-standing problem that no other DDS did. Great state-of-the-art equipment.

Miss having friendly and funny Jeff, dental hygienist cleaning my teeth. He was very consistent and thorough. He knew of my problem areas. I looked forward to my cleanings Since he has left, I have had a different hygienist each time. They are all very good, but it feels very routine and generic.
