Haveli : Worst Restaurant in Atlanta – Bad food... Rude Service... Almost every item is leftovers..... and stale... I recommend not to visit this restaurant even by chance.
OK food, but the service is RUDE and AWFUL! – I took my gf there last night - we got there at 8.15pm, there were 2 other couples there also finishing up their meal. I really like their Chicken Maghni, but their appetizers or Naan's are nothing to rave about. So at one point we were the only people there at that time and this place advertises opening hours until 10pm/10.30pm on sunday nights. Exquisite Indian Cuisine – Easy to get to with easy downtown parking, Haveli's Chef Raja and staff provided us an incredible meal with various levels of heat and a barrage of flavors certainly characteristic of authentic Indian cuisine. For he uneducated epicurean, Chef Raja enabled our outstanding meal by personally helping us choose Garlic Naan, Tandori Chicken, and Shrimp Vindaloo ? all Very Good!!
Great for vegetarians. – I too am surprised by the negative comments. I love this place. It's the only decent place around here where an vegetarian can eat something filling OTHER than tofu!
Nice Indian Restaurant – Good Indian Restaurant: Food is good. I ordered Saag panner for dinner with Nans. It's awesome. I liked it very much. It's hot, spicy, tastey. The waiters are very nice and care with your specific needs in the food. Pros: Location, Service, Food
Bad restaurant – Bad Indian restaurant..Bad Buffet..Been there twice for buffet and the food was horrible! Ordered once on menu for dinner- expensive, stale, below average food. The waiters are indifferent and rarely care with your specific needs in the food, if requested. Needless to say not planning for a Fourth Rendezvous.
avoid this place – The food is stale and served in very small portions.The worst part is the staff-they are rude,and in my case a 15% tip was already added to the bill for the totally lousy service and when i got up without leaving any additional tip,i was actually cursed out by a waiter-who called me a cheap indian and muttered that despite being a doctor i was too cheap to tip(since i was there was a medical conference i had a badges which showed i am a MD).I am never coming back here again and would not recommend this pal... read more
Best Indian food ever – I am shocked to read the other reviews that say this place was bad. This is the best indian food we have ever eaten and I have eaten at a great many restaurants in many different countries. I have actually driven an hour and a half to eat here. As for the staff being unfriendly I think maybe these people were in a different restaurant. The staff always come to our table and chat with us. Up to standard where I'm from – I've been to a lot of Indian places in Portland and I have to say, in short, Haveli is comparable with any one in Portland. The food is really good, in fact it's been a long time since I've had bad Indian food. The waiting staff was a little "confused" for lack of a better word, so some of our orders were wrong, but it was no big deal, we wanted to try different things anyway. I'll cut them a break because they said the big conferences in town that weekend had really drained the staff...I hope... read more
