Run away from this surgeon. He destroyed my knee. Went into surgery for arthroscopic meniscus repair. I was told it would be a basic procedure, back on my feet in a few weeks. He tore the outside part of my meniscus with forceps and shaved my knee cap. My knee now pops out and locks. I can’t work out, walk or even sit for long periods now. My entire leg is now unstable and my only option is total knee replacement. I was very active before and have not been able to do any physical activities like before the surgery. The best orthopedic surgeon there is! Went in with moderate pain in my left knee from what turned out to be a ruptured acl, sprained mcl, bone contusions and fractures. I was booked for surgery a month later and now, 4 years later, my left leg is my strongest! My physical therapist constantly sang his praises on for the craftsmanship of the graft replacement, and you can literally HEAR the difference in my knee compared to others post-op. If you read the other reviews, nothing feels impossible with Dr. Harwood!
Dr. Harwood was amazing with my shoulder replacement. This review comes up with my husband’s name, however, I am an 80 years old female and he was very thorough, explaining the procedure. No wonder the SF Giants have him as a team doctor.
