I do not recommend Leslie. In my opinion, she is dishonest in her representation of what her fees cover, charges for work she does not do and adds high fees to contractor bids which she collects for her company, but is not transparent about. I paid Leslie $4200 up front for design services for the life of the contract which covered design and vetting, hiring and overseeing independent contractors. I agree with reviewer who stated Leslie was dishonest with her fees. My experience with Leslie was very similar to that reviewers and also extremely disheartening. Her fees were unclear, simple orders took months longer than she had indicated to deliver - while she had most of the payment in advance. She also cancelled several scheduled meetings at the last minute. Re her design work: Our first meeting with Leslie was great - we loved her personality and thought she was a good match for us. I'm a widow who hired Ms. Leslie Hart-Davidson and her company Hart-Davidson Designs to oversee a 6 to 8 week project. I initially asked her to refer me to a builder and architect but she assured me she would just put everything on one contract and negotiate great bids for me. She assured me she had lowered her usual bid and was charging me a $3,000 flat fee for the life of the contract.
