An Easter visit included a humongous loaf of babka, dark rye bread and, of course, half moons!

I was so excited I purchased this cake for my 40th birthday. Wow did it looked lovely. We each took a bite and the disappointment surely set in. Oh was it dry. I don’t know how you can make a chocolate cake without chocolate flavor but, there was No chocolate to be found in that cake. The only saving grace was the can cherry pie filling atop of it and the whip frosting that surrounded it. So for $14- We all had 1 bite each. 3 bites of birthday cake and the rest went in the trash. Save your money.

Stopping at this bakery with my dad was a fond childhood memory . Dad always said this was the best bakery in Syracuse . My Aunt always bought baked goods from Harrison Bakery , no other would do. We would stop for the half moon cookies and donuts before leaving Syracuse to go home after visiting family.
