Greedy, selfish vet who promotes and displays cat mutilation with the horrible declaw service. There is no right way to amputate a cats toes. Shame on you.
The easiest test for any pet owner to find out if a vet is looking out for the welfare of the animals... or looking out for their own profits, is whether they refuse to declaw (and educate the owners about gentle alternatives!) OR make money off of this barbaric, inhumane practice. Declawing is MUTILATION. Any vet who declaws cats does not respect the Hippocratic Oath!
Declawing is the AMPUTATION of the first knuckle of the cats for bone. Done old school or with "lasers" it's the reason your cat will have behavior problems, pee outside the box and be in pain for the rest of its life. PLEASE EDUCATE yourselves on alternatives to declawing. I have 5 cats with claws. I have scratching posts and cat towers that they scratch instead of my furniture. Please stop mutilating cats and kittens!
Any veterinarian that promotes and/or performs declawing should be ashamed.
Please stop the inhumane and barbaric practice of declawing It's unnecessary and cruel--your vets should be ashamed to continue this practice at your clinic...
Please dont declaw you're cats. Its a painful op and there is proof that it doesnt work in the long run regardless of what vets say.
I took my cat to angle of assis. They spay her after a few days her incision opened. I took her back they put three stiches around the opening, but didn't close it. After two days she wasn't eating ,drinking or using the potty pan. She was cold to touch, just laying around. Took her back. They said to put her in a room by herself with her food , water & potty pan & leave her alone, not to touch her or mess with her that she needed to heal. She threw up bad that evening.
