I am not impressed with this place. We solely come to play volleyball and they cannot even get that right. The net has been broken for months and the basketball goal has been broken for a little while now and cannot be raised up on the side we play on (which makes it very difficult to play) and they refuse to allow us to play on the other side because they cannot "monitor" the boys from the front desk, which is ludicrous. We have been members of the YMCA for many years and Ransburg is our favorite branch. The staff is amazing and passionate about their community. You could see a bridge game being played, basketballs being passed, pre-schoolers singing, neighbors chatting and teens computing just on your way to the workout room. You feel good when you arrive and even better when you leave.
I have been a member for a couple of years and love it there. Unfortunately, over the last couple of weeks I have notice a lot of unsupervised children in the workout area. They are running through the area & playing/arguing over the equipment. Last week, a couple of young boys were throwing a basketball around in the back area that ended up bouncing off the treadmill I was running on. Please respect the other people working out and keep your children on the machine beside/near you so YOU can supervise them.
As usual this facility is top notch! Please bring back the swimsuit dryers!
I've been a member here for about 10 years. Very friendly members and staff. The building is older but the wellness center is stocked with newer cardio machines and the weight room isn't crazy crowded when I go. My only tiny complaint is that the pool chairs are not comfortable at all and many of them were broken at the end of this summer. Otherwise, I love this place. Great community feel.
