Best BBQ I've had in a long time - Lifetime resident of TX
Quite simply one of the best Texas style BBQ joints I've ever been to. The smell, sights and taste are spot-on traditional big house Texas grub.

The HARD EIGHT is appropriately named. Took a friend from out of town and the brisket was HARD and dry.
Came into town for a weekend to visit a buddy, and all I have to say is can you deliver to Wisconsin!!! Best Barbecue I have ever had. I considered my trip a tour or Dallas barbecue joints and if I had to choose, Hard Eight wins hands down!! No other place compared!! I will be back no doubt in my mind!
Husband and I always try new places in Dallas/Ft Worth area before coming home to East Texas. Never chains, only home grown places. We were going to have pizza but the place was closed and then my husband found Hard Eight BBQ. Across town through rain we went. The parking lot was packed (a good sign). We got in and there was a line as long as Texas but we fought it out. No clue what we were doing so we watched other ppl to see what to do. This place is one of the reasons I fell in love with Texas!
I loved everything! The employees, the environment, and especially the food. If you want great BBQ and good customer service, this is the place to go! The manager Wes went above and beyond to make sure my family had a great first experience! Ohhhhh and the banana pudding is to die for!
