RecommendedBeautiful lake view from the deck seating, the food was delicious, and the servings were just right. Our server, Saffron was attentive, polite, and had the best menu suggestions. We will definitely be coming back on our next visit to the North Shore. Thanks for the fabulous dinner, and the great service!
We just happened upon this restaurant and were so pleased with it. Our waitress was just short of friendly, but the food was great. It’s a small, very clean restaurant and the food was excellent. I had the salmon special and my husband had the steak tip special. Both excellent. We shared a rhubarb nonalcoholic drink and a rhubarb lemon cake. It’s a good thing we had a reservation. Food was excellent and timely. The Creme Brule was...oh, my, there simply are no words to describe the yumminess. Alberto was a fantastic waiter. I’ve always loved the ambiance. We come here every year. Keep up the great work!
Thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Harbor House Grille! Charming dining atmosphere, pleasant and helpful staff, and the shrimp was 🌟fantastic🌟!! Definitely the most delicious dinner we've ever had in Grand Marais. 💚
Pizza had no flavor (pepperoni and mushroom). Pizza was doughy for a wood fired pizza. Chicken Alfredo no flavor and not seasoned.

Food over priced for the quality. For what was supposed to be an upper scale family restaurant, it had the atmosphere of a biker bar. It was so loud that my wife and I couldn’t hear each other talk 24” apart. Our three young kids were better behaved than the table of 10 adults across the room. When we asked to be moved, they acted like we were being ridiculous and want to shove us outside to one of the tables that was soaked from the recent rain. No thanks. Best dinner in Grand Marais. We've been back again and again for the flat iron steak and the pork chop. Great wine and beer list. Wonderful sides and desserts. Great flat bread and sandwiches - love the wild rice burger, too. Gracious, friendly wait staff you might expect to find in a fine dining establishment. Best place for a memorable dinner experience on the shore and we've been to several.
