Great atmosphere, great service, great food and great view of Lake Superior. They think of the little things like lap blankets if you’d like to eat on the porch on a cool Autumn day. 😁
Came to Grand Marais for a few days- dinner here was amazing. Had the daily special of whitefish. Huge portion. Cooked perfect. Enjoyed the dinner and staff was so friendly we came back for dinner second night here as well. Had vegetarian pizza and burger with wild rice and blueberry. Again was delicious and staff was great. I would recommend this restaurant. Quaint atmosphere, great staff and great food.

If you have a bad experience at Harbor house I highly recommend not saying a word. I did, I was verbally attacked, they even published our name and phone number on FB. I called and demanded they remove it after almost an hour had no choice to delete my entire post. See the other neg. review for a second opinion. So sad, a simple apology that night and none of this would have happened.
The indoor and outdoor seating is very comfortable. Stay for dessert!
Excellent fish and chips. Not battered and greasy. Lightly dusted in corn flour and fried. Great chips, also lightly fried. House salad wasn’t just a handful of mixed greens out of a bag like so many salads are. Greens were a cut above with house made blue cheese with a vinaigrette that made it unique and interesting. Heirloom cherry tomatoes. And a great location.
