A little slice of heaven right here in middle TN!! We have stayed in the two bedroom cabin several times and are always ready to go back. The decorations and craftsmanship are second to none! So unique! Beautiful surroundings, great places to eat, fun little shops, and Rock Island is simply beautiful. John and Leighsa are the bomb diggity!! Whether you have paddled for years or you're like us and the the paddle keeps hitting the kayak!!� you will have a day you want to repeat again and again!
Tired of the rat race. The Happy Yaker is just a short beautiful drive from Nashville. We have stayed in the cabins and they are first rate. Very nice, cozy comfortable and clean. Leighsa and John are such welcoming people so you will feel right at home. Not a whitewater type of person? Me neither, but the Happy Yaker has places you can go and just paddle around at a leisurely pace and enjoy the beautiful views and scenery of Rock Island. One trip and you'll be hooked like we are.
So enjoyed our outing at the happy yaker. Just as I knew they would, John and Leighsa have done everything top notch to make sure when you make time to get away, they take care of you. The cabins, kayaks and equipment are really nice, but the people make the place.
It was a late summer get away for our family. John and his wife were awesome. Very accommodating. They brought us to a great location! They were super friendly. The price was very reasonable. Highly recommend them! We will be back!
OMG we just happened upon this place and by a miracle they had a vacancy for Dawn, Kim, Keith and I for an impromptu weekend trip to Rock Island. I relived the water as I did as a teenager and the memories flooded back. Loved the Happy Yacker cabins. They are so tastfully decorated and so comfy. We are definitely coming back and bringing more friends.
John and Leighsa are amazing! So very nice! Very worth the money! We saw a lot of wildlife and was a very relaxing afternoon!
A lifetime memory was made by me and my son at the Happy Yaker this weekend. Great place to stay for a couple of days. Easy access to Rock Island and great rates on accommodations and Kayak rental. Thanks John and Leighsa!!!
