A great place to unplug! Quiet, peaceful and relaxing!
RecommendedThis place is flawless! Decor is fabulous, cabins are clean and well-equipped, scenery/hiking/biking/kayaking/paddleboard opportunities are amazing, and the restaurant next within walking distance is in my Top Ten ever! And I want Leighsa and John to adopt me into their family bc they're the best ever! Please go check out their place bc you will be in heaven!
Stopped in and talked to the guys while checking out rock island. they are great very friendly invited me to see the cabins and talked about the falls with them. Definitely check it out you won't find anything nicer

My family had THE BEST time! We have two boys ages 9 and 4. They love water and now they love kayaking/paddle boarding! Beautiful weather, calm water, and friendly folks! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway! John and Leighsa were so friendly and warm; we could not have asked for better hosts. The cottages were super hip and comfy and very close to some amazing waterfalls. We also had a great time kayaking and hiking nearby. We will definitely be back to Rock Island and The Happy Yaker!
What a great place to stay! My husband and I snuck away for a few days and lucked out when we found this place. Great accomodations with beautiful waterfalls and a great restaurant within walking distance. Leighsa and John were great!
Imagine a place where all the pressures we put on ourselves seems to quickly fade away. Now add the serenity of the woods in the morning or paddling on a calm lake. Additionally, enjoy the comfort that is equal to your favorite blanket. To make things even better, your visit is made complete by having John & Leighsa make sure things are just right. You may only stay in the 'Kayak Kottages' for a few days but they will stay with you for quite some time!
