The lunch was a good honest home cooked style buffet. Plenty of food at a good price.
Passing through don't miss this Chicken Fried Steak and one of the best gravy's I've had perfect baked potato husband had "unlimited" chicken N Dumplings Wednesday is $1 glasses wine and not the skimpy cheap stuff. Clean Tablecloths great waitress and VERY reasonable. Thanks for a great evening. Oh yes we took the Bourbon Pecan Pie to go
Ordered the California club... that's a glorified lunch meat sandwich..... the onion rings.... what was that? No batter on then at all.... then I asked for a napkin.... the waitress went to the bathroom and brought me out some paper towels..... took forever for our food to come out. After we got our food our waitress was NO WHERE to be found. I'll never go here again!
This was my post on my page : I have to say, if you are ever in Goliad, TX, do yourself a favor & order a burger & onion rings at The Hanging Tree Restaurant (ok, not sure what to think of the name, but ...). Seriously, ate 1/2 yesterday, 1/2 today. Just as awesome today! Onion rings w/batter like fried chicken, homemade buns w/a touch of something sweet .... Best I've ever had! I think I'm going to be visiting Goliad more often!
The decor and the staff very fan friendly. Great food
The coconut cream pie was excellent!
When it's not market days it a real nice place to eat
