I recently visited the hospital for an iron infusion, and unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the worst healthcare experiences I’ve had. To begin with, the professionalism was seriously lacking. The nurse/doctor was unable to locate my vein despite multiple attempts and told me that my veins are very thin. She inserted the needle three different times in my arm—around the front of the elbow area—and even marked what she thought was the vein with a pen.
