I stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites Tallahassee for 6 nights and found the hotel very clean. The location was interesting in that we were smack in the middle of FAMU and FSU territories. This provided lots of restaurants and a Publix close by. One thing the area does cater to the college lifestyle; meaning anything quick, easy and ready to go was readily available. I came to visit my daughter at FSU. The room was nice on the 6th floor. After the first night I went to the desk to say that the room wasn't made up. The front desk told me they only clean every other day. I asked why and was told "we are saving the environment". You mean the hotel is saving money. I was also charged $25 per night for parking. DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR FAMILIES. Not a kid friendly place. Online says cribs are available but front desk said they don't have any, never have and online shouldn't say they have any. Zero compassion about it. We asked housekeeping and they found a pack n play that was broken. We asked for a new one and one side wouldn't stay up but we made it work. We've stayed at a lot of Hampton Inns over the years, and this one genuinely rises above the pack. From the moment we arrived, everything about the experience felt easy and well-run. Check-in was smooth and quick, and the staff were warm and genuinely helpful throughout the entire stay – not just at the front desk, but across the board. Clean rooms, no complaints whatsoever.
