As a hospitality student at the University of Memphis, I visited Hampton Inn & Suites Memphis-Galleria while working on a hotel operations project, and I had a genuinely positive experience. The only reason for two stars is because the staff were very friendly and accommodating, however, the cleaning left much to be desired. I asked to change from my first assigned room due to the cleanliness and the room I was transferred to was not any better, indicating that this was just the cleanliness standard. Rooms were incredibly dusty, bathrooms were not cleaned well - dust and hair on the floor, in the tub, and shelves where clean towels were placed. I found grass, lint, and hair in the sheets. Great town that is nicely maintained. A little hard to find with google maps, but its right behind Waffle house 😃 Breakfeast is real good, fresh lemon water, coffe and tea all day. Very clean, comfortable stylish decor, outdoor seating areas, and outdoor pool. Only issue I have and its not bad is although its extremely clean throughout, there are minor details of clean such as door / cabinet panels, baseboards, etc that seem to be forgotten about. Only reason i gave 4 stars are the little clean details and outdoor pool.
