I am a Hilton diamond member and spend more than 60 nights per year at Hilton Properties. This hotel was one of my worst experiences. When we arrived at 10 pm, there was a sign posted on the door stating that they were full. We had a reservation, but I wasn't sure if they had a room available. I entered the lobby and waited for 15 minutes. There was no one there. I said "hello" a few times before a woman exited the back room into the lobby. She looked as if she had been sleeping. One of the worst experiences. Room had horrible piss smell. When spoke with the lady, she said she has no other room to move my family however offer to bring ozone to get rid of smell. But she never showed up and never brought anything.
We stayed at this Hampton on the way north to Michigan. It was a good stay. Yes, this hotel shows some wear from age (elevator/hallway). But rooms are clean and the customer service is good. Our bed was comfortable and we had a quiet night's sleep. We used the pool and found it to be clean. Lobby bathrooms are nice. Breakfast area is small. I was extremely disappointed and disgusted with my recent stay at this Hampton Inn. Upon entering my room, I discovered the carpet was completely soaked—so much so that water pooled around the edges of my shoes when I stepped on it. Even more concerning was the significant presence of black mold. This wasn’t minor staining or leftover residue; it was thick, fuzzy mold, clearly active and hazardous—and accompanied by a pet spider.
