I would strongly caution anyone considering staying here. We stayed here with 30+ families a few weeks ago and rooms were extremely dirty upon arrival — there was dog feces left in one room, which is completely unacceptable and a serious sanitation issue. It was obvious that the room had not been properly cleaned before we checked in. Even more concerning, multiple families who stayed here reported contracting scabies after their visit. I am writing to formally address a serious health and safety issue regarding our stay at the Hampton Inn Northwest Austin in January. Our family stayed at your property as part of a soccer tournament group involving 30 other families. Within 48 hours of our departure, all four members of my family developed a severe rash. Four different medical professionals have since diagnosed this condition as scabies. We stayed here a few weeks ago as part of a large group (about 30 families) and had a very poor experience. Only one elevator was working during our stay, the rooms had a strong odor, and they did not appear properly cleaned. Most concerning, several families from our group later developed severe rashes that were diagnosed as scabies. I would strongly recommend avoiding this hotel—there are much better options in the area.
