RecommendedSurprise Birthday Gift from my daughter Tracy. Wonderful resort right on beach with lazy river and 4 swimming pools. Great place to celebrate any occasion.
We chose this hotel in part because it’s off the beaten path and per its website taking appropriate COVID precautions. During our stay we noticed that in fact none of the listed precautions were being taken, unless staff members wearing masks on their chins count. Our villa was definitely not sanitized, it was barely clean...since our baby is now crawling we had to run out to buy floor cleaner when we noticed her knees were black from crawling on the floor. The hotel and area are beautiful, unfortunately the staff was rude right from the start of check in, our room was not ready when we arrived at 4:30 and when we asked for an estimated time so we could figure out what to do while it was being cleaned they would only say we will contact you and let you know. We have two young children (it was their Birthdays which was the reason we were there) and had to wait two hours before receiving a call that our room was ready.
