I have now seen Dr. Hammesfahr for not one, but two knee injuries. He is always extremely thorough in his explanation of both what happened and how he wants to treat it. Also, Dr. Hammesfahr is one of the kindest doctors I have ever seen. He is always so patient with my dozens of questions! His staff is really nice and friendly — no matter how busy the office is, they give me their full attention when checking me in, taking me to a room, or checking me out. I would HIGHLY recommend!
Recently my son and I were both treated by Dr. Hammesfahr and received excellent care. He took a great deal of time explaining the injury, and was not quick to recommend surgery, but instead used physical therapy which worked in both instances. We appreciated him not rushing to the idea of surgery. He couldn't have been more thorough, and the front office staff were all very nice. We have gone to Dr. Hammesfahr for many things throughout the years and I would highly recommend him to anyone!
Dr. Hammesfahr is one of the best surgeons I have seen in a long time, so if other people are dissatisfied it is because of them. The only reason I ever had to wait is if there was an emergency worse than mine, and if you can't be patient when someone else is in pain I feel sorry for you... He has done miracles with patients that I never thought would ever be right again so I would totally see him...
Not good long wait
I have been a patient of Dr. Hammesfahr's for at least 25 years. There is NO OTHER surgeon I would trust with my family and friends (all who have been extremely satisfied and grateful for the recommendation). Dr. Hammesfahr's reassuring and gentle manner are so comforting, and he takes his time to fully explain the injury and what is necessary to heal those injuries. Even though I have to drive about an hour to get to him, it is worth it!
Gave a 1 star because I couldn't give 1/2 or less...
