I like him! He has a dry humor, can be a bit sarcastic, but it’s funny. He’s attentive and he cares. Brilliant Dr.
Dr. Hammer is the most patient and understanding neurologist that I’ve ever had the pleasure of seeing. I came into his practice as a 30 year old who had stroke symptoms but no stroke detected. He quickly diagnosed me with a rare brain condition, set me up immediately with higher specialists, made sure I got in with these specialists within a reasonable time, answered all of my questions and messages, without ever getting frustrated. Zero stars. Jan 23d -Insulting, arrogant, mocked me in front of 6-8 medical students in room with us to get some laughs, while I lay paralyzed from waist down terrified, gasping for air bc of systemic infection which was dismissed. He had all the information to see I obviously had viral meningitis. He told me all my labwork was normal (it was not) and accused me of “faking” ( to my daughter who was trying to show him my intermittent facial palsy).
