About this business
Plain and Fancy was originally built in the 50's and then renamed Dempsey's. It remained Dempsey's until 1993 when it was changed to Ham Fam as everybody called it! In 2005 Ham Fam was totally remodeled and banquet rooms were added for up to 120 people. Reservation are accepted at all times. We have always been family oriented with daily homemade soups, chef specials and desserts. Salad bar available daily till 9 pm - till 2am on Friday/Saturday nights.

This is one of the best diners in Allentown, I always had good service when I was there.
Service was great, seated right away and waitress was great too!! The portions were huge! We got an appetizer combo, big portions but some over fried, just ok. Eggplant parmagian was huge! Enough for 3!! Very good, sauce good, spaghetti ok. Got a cannoli to go, very good!! Homemade bakery, were bring it out as we sat there! Eclairs, triple chocolate cake, carrot cake, etc!! We will be back!!

It's ok. I wouldnt go out of my way to eat there. A little pricey for a diner.
