Hair of the Dog opened its doors in 2006. We are a professional grooming shop dedicated to providing quality grooming with your dog's safety and comfort always in mind. Hair of the Dog groomers have completed a 1-year apprenticeship, are insured, and attend seminars on an ongoing basis. We are active in the rescue community and volunteer our services to local shelters/rescues by grooming homeless dogs free of charge.

I’ve now taken all three of my dogs to Sandra and she does the best grooming in town! I will continue to use her from now on!
Sandra and her team have groomed both of my dogs who can be a little crazy at times and they always come out looking great!
Excellent grooms at affordable all-inclusive prices. You’ll also receive helpful feedback on steps to take to improve your best friend’s skin & coat. Got a difficult dog like I do? No worries, these gals are the dog whisperers of KC. And, my dogs look & feel amazing! Sandra & Brandy also give back by free-grooming area rescue dogs which helps the dog feel great AND helps get them adopted into loving homes quicker.
Awesome job on our Shiba Inu, Buddy the one eyed wonder dog! He was a mess, 14 years old, one eye, deaf, and has canine dimentia syndrome, challenging to handle is an understatement. I can no longer groom him because of an injury, so it's been a couple of months. I have worked with some rescue animals with Sandy so I decided to bring him in. He is so handsome now and I could not believe the fur that came off of him!! No cutting, just blowing, bathing, and lots of brushing! Thank you! He feels so much better now!!

I have taken both my corgis here for nail trimming and will be bring them for baths and de-shedding they do a awesome job and its close to my work.
