DREADLOCKS HAIR EXTENSIONS – I have going to the Hair Cult for over 20 years. I have had numerous stylists and have never been dissatisfied with my hair. I like my hair very different. AMAZING – I recently went to Hair Cult for the very first time. Just moved to Hoboken from Miami and I love Aveda and it was highly recommended by a coworker. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by what I can assume was the manager Ricardo. He offered my tea, held a conversation with me even though he seemed to be so busy he made me feel so comfortable and got rid of my nerves. Laurie was my stylist. Good Atmosphere, Great Haircut – I basically just went in for a basic haircut. I'm a no frills guy, and the girl that cut my hair, Mariela, did a great job. The staff was cool, very hip, but not obnoxious. I'll definitely be heading back here for my every 3 week cut. Thanks Guys!
I want my hair back – I have, sorry, HAD shoulder length straight hair. I went to Hair Cult and saw Mariella because my previous stylist at a different salon moved overseas. I asked for "up to 2 inches off the back and just a trim at the front, because I want to keep the length". We discussed how this would make my hair quite angled towards the front, which I said I liked. What an experience !!! – After a couple of times walking by Hair cult salon, I needed a change and decided to walk in, and give it a shot. I had the Best experience ever, starting with the front desk person, followed by the hairstylist that he recommended, very professional not only did my hair come out Amazing but I felt so relax with the great complementary scalp massage and a very friendly staff all around. All my friends already know about my great experience and Can't wait to go back.
The Worst Hair Cut I Can Remember – Bill gave me the worst hair cut I can remember. This was my 3rd haircut with Bill, and he was familiar with my hair type (thick wavy/frizzy), and my style (I like long layers), However, this time, he clearly wasn't paying attention, and I ended up with a top layer of VERY SHORT hair, which did not blend at ALL with the rest of my hair which had no layers at ALL The end result was an extremely bulky looking, completely unstylable mess. A Nice Place To Visist – I've been going to Hair Cult for about 14 years (I can remember when I started, it was soon after I got married). For the last 7 years, I've been "commuting" from the suburbs for my cuts; even worth the parking nightmares. I hadn't had my hair done since last November because I lost my job. Coincidentally the receptionist just cold called me to say they hadnt seen me in awhile, after explaining why i hadn't he mentioned about the Recessionista Thursday deal they had going on. Every thursday 12 - 4pm you can get any service for 30% off. I ran!!! I am so loving my hair today!
